Always fascinated with letters,  I apprenticed for 10 years with the best in the field of calligraphy. I have been a calligrapher for 30 years. I have taught privately and at universities.  I’ve always been drawn to the beauty and style of individual letters which can be functional or purely art.

I use calligraphy to add special touches to weddings, poetry, cards and an individual’s personal expression.

Each piece is handmade in a variety of materials and styles.

Over 25 years ago I traded in city life for the beauty of the red rocks in Sedona, Arizona where I reside today.  I teach calligraphy and my work is exhibited in numerous juried art shows throughout the southwest.

About Me

My career in ceramics started after graduating from UCLA.  I have always loved clay; the feel, the texture, the closeness to the earth.  Starting with a mental image, I form the piece by hand or wheel and choose the firing techniques.  This makes each creation unique.
